BARAMULLA: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv celebrations, a district-wide cleanliness drive was launched today from the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Baramulla. Officers and officials of the district administration actively participated in the drive, marking the beginning of a series of sanitation activities across the district.
The initiative, organized under Sewa Parv, aims to promote hygiene, sanitation, and community responsibility. Following the symbolic launch at the DC office, cleanliness activities were carried out across government offices, educational institutions, health centres, public spaces, and markets with the involvement of municipal committees, Panchayati Raj Institutions, students, volunteers, and members of civil society.
Participants joined hands to clean the surroundings and spread awareness among the public about sustainable waste management and maintaining hygienic practices. Officers on the occasion highlighted that the cleanliness drive reflects the true spirit of Sewa Parv, service to society and called upon citizens to extend their support in sustaining cleanliness efforts beyond the campaign. District administration has assured that such drives will continue in the coming days to create a cleaner and healthier Baramulla.
