RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired separate meetings of the District Level Committee (DLC) on Change of Land Use (CLU) and the District Rent Assessment Committee (DRAC) to review the status of CLU cases and approve rent for the government departments housed in private properties.
The meetings were attended by Additional Superintendent of Police, Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman; ACR, Shokat Hayat Mattoo; ACD, Sehraz Ahmed; General Manager DIC, Ravinder Anand; SDM Banihal, Mohammad Naseeb Bajraan; DFO Batote, Abhinav Ramotra; Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti and PWD besides other concerned officers.
The DRAC approved all 13 rent proposals pertaining to Police, Army, Education, AYUSH, ICDS, Cooperatives, Social Welfare, Sheep Husbandry, Handicrafts, among others. The Committee discussed in detail the fixation of rent for the private structures housing government offices in different parts of the district.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure timely payment of rent to building owners and emphasized maintaining proper safety and security of both government assets and rented properties. The DLC took up 11 CLU cases and examined revenue records, the status of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and compliance with land conversion rules.
Emphasizing transparency and efficiency, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officers to fast-track the issuance of NOCs and initiate processing of the CLU cases. He further directed strict adherence to the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Land Revenue Act and all relevant government guidelines to ensure improved public service delivery.
