DODA: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Harvinder Singh today inaugurated a newly-installed J&K Bank ATM at Ghat (Doda), enhancing banking convenience and digital financial access for residents of the area. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Branch Manager, J&K Bank Ghat along with other officers and staff members of the bank.
The Deputy Commissioner Doda appreciated J&K Bank’s efforts in strengthening banking infrastructure in rural and far-flung areas of the district. The Deputy Commissioner Doda also distributed benefits under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme among the eligible beneficiaries. He highlighted that the scheme aims to uplift traditional artisans and craftspeople by imparting them advanced skill training, providing modern tools, credit support and improved market access.
The DC urged the beneficiaries to take full advantage of government-sponsored livelihood programmes and assured all possible support from the district administration to promote self-reliance, entrepreneurship and inclusive development in Doda.
