JAMMU: NYKS- J&K under the aegis of MY Bharat Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India organized various programs in the twin UTs of J&K and Ladakh. The National event was launched in all the districts of the UTs of J&K and Ladakh. A Painting Competition focused on reducing plastic use and recycling waste has been held at Govt Girls Hr Secondary School, Srinagar in which more than 30 students took part. A rally was taken out by the Youth Clubs members at Rajbagh Srinagar under the Supervision of Sh Gulzar Ahmed Ganai, APA, NYK Srinagar. In Budgam District Cleanliness derive was conducted in collaboration with Nilnag Govt High School, and Sheerin Youth Club.
Various programs were organized in Jammu Division. In Poonch district, Door to Door campaign was taken out by Youth Club Balakot and Swachh Abhiyan was conducted at ITI Mendhar by Mr. Waseem Ahmed and Mr Gulnaz Ahmed Ex NYVs. In Ramban District, Swachhata programme has been conducted by NYK Doda at post office Banihal .In Samba district Poster related to Swachh bharat has been pasted on wall and cleanliness derive held by Ravinder Kour, social activist and president of Rapiyal Mahila Mandal.
In Ladakh UT, NYK Leh organized group discussions and painting competitions at Army Good will School Turtuk Block with the support of the Mahila Mandal. Cleanliness derives held in all districts of both UTs and More than 12 lakh Kg wastage were disposed off.
