SRINAGAR: Today on 16-09-2025, colourful programmes were organized by IRP-6th Bn under Civic Action Programme 2025-26 in three different Schools falling in the vicinity of Bn. Hqrs.
These schools include Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Natipora Srinagar, Govt. Girls Middle School Amira Kadal Srinagar and Govt. Boys Middle School Lachmanpora Batamaloo Srinagar. During these programmes, educational kits along with refreshment and water purifiers were disbursed to the student community as a part of social responsibility and reach out towards our society.
A comprehensive interaction session in all the three schools highlighting the event wherein the students and the teachers discussed different issues related to education and the role of youth in Nation building. The students of these Schools also presented beautiful cultural programmes. Moreover, during these programmes the teachers, students and the parents put forth the need to curb the menace of drugs in our society.
While speaking on the occasion CO IRP 6th Bn Shri Abdul Hakim Munshi highlighted the importance of various Civic Action Programmes being held by J&K Police. He also threw light on education as a reckoning power to change the fate of our nation and the multifarious role of the student community to play as the future leaders of the community and Country.
After conclusion of these events, all the Principals of designated schools lauded the role of the J&K Police and requested for conducting such programmes in future too especially drug de-addiction programmes. CO IRP 6th Bn was accompanied by Sh. Safdar Hamid Hassan Samoon- SSP, DyCO, Sh. Rayaz Iqbal Tantray-SP Adjutant, Sh. Showkat Ahmad- DySP, Quarter Master, Sh. Zahoor Ahmad- DySP, Inspr. Fida Hussain, Inspr. Khalid Mehmood, W/Inpr. Arjamand Ayoub and other officials of IRP-6th Bn.
