AWANTIPORA: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) organized a 'Swachhata Hi Seva' pledge event today at the University campus. The event, aimed at promoting cleanliness and environmental responsibility, was coordinated by NSS Program Officer Dr. Tariq Ahmad Ganaie.
The event saw active participation from several senior officials of the University, including Prof. Abdul Wahid, Registrar, Mr. Sameer Wazir, Finance Officer, and Dr. Rumaan Bashir, Controller of Examinations, alongside NSS volunteers. Prof. Abdul Wahid led the pledge-taking ceremony, where he read the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' pledge, encouraging all present to commit themselves to cleanliness and contribute towards the well-being of society.
Following the pledge, the NSS unit conducted a cleanliness drive at the Polytechnic wing of the IUST, reinforcing the importance of maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. The event reflects IUST's continued commitment to community service and the promotion of environmental sustainability.
