AWANTIPORA: In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, J&K Police in Awantipora have intensified efforts to combat illegal mining activities in the Police district Awantipora and has seized 02 vehicles involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Awantipora area.
A Police party of Police Station Awantipora headed by SHO Police Station Awantipora seized two vehicles bearing registration numbers JK03H-1515(dumper) and a JCB without registration number involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Awantipora area. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 183/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding illegal mining activities in their neighbourhood. J&K Police assures strict action against the violators as per law.
