JAMMU: BJP Mahila Morcha J&K, led by its President Adv. Neha Mahajan, organized a plantation drive under the campaign Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam at JDA Park, opposite BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

BJP J&K President Sat Sharma (CA), MLA Bahu Constituency Ch. Vikram Randhawa, BJP J&K General Secretary Sanjita Dogra, BJP District President Jammu Rajesh Gupta, along with senior party leaders participated in the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma emphasized that plantation drives are not merely symbolic gestures but powerful contributions to safeguarding the environment for future generations. He said that in Indian culture, nature has always been revered as divine, and trees have been considered as manifestations of life and prosperity. Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam is not just a campaign, it is a movement that inspires us to reconnect with our roots and fulfill our responsibility towards Maa Bharti by preserving her natural wealth, he said.

Sat Sharma further urged every citizen, especially the youth, to plant at least one tree in the name of their mother, thereby creating an emotional bond with the environment while also contributing to a sustainable tomorrow. He lauded the Mahila Morcha team for their enthusiastic and committed participation.

Ch. Vikram Randhawa highlighted that the campaign Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam carries a powerful message of love, care, and responsibility towards Mother Earth. He urged the people of Bahu Constituency and Jammu at large to actively participate in this noble initiative.

Neha Mahajan reaffirmed that the Mahila Morcha has always been at the forefront of service-oriented programmes across the Union Territory. She assured that her team will continue to work tirelessly to connect with every section of society and serve with dedication.
