KUPWARA: The Branch MSME Development & Facilitation Office (DFO), Srinagar, in collaboration with District Administration Kupwara today organized a one-day PM Vishwakarma Marketing and Entrepreneurship Orientation Programme at Handwara with an aim to support local traditional artisans. The event saw active participation of large number of Vishwakarma artisans, who gathered to learn about modern business practices and government support systems.

The aim of the workshop was to train artisans to enhance their business capabilities and integrate them into the formal economy by focusing on marketing and entrepreneurship which shall empower "Vishwakarmas" to not only preserve their traditional crafts but also to thrive in a competitive modern marketplace. The programme featured specialized training sessions led by industry experts and government officials.

Regarding Branding and Inventory Management, Resource person conducted detailed sessions on how artisans can brand their products and manage their stock efficiently.  Official  from MSME DFO Srinagar, provided an overview of various MSME schemes available to help artisans scale their ventures.  IPO, DIC Kupwara, highlighted the role of the District Industries Centre in supporting local industrial growth and artisan welfare.
