KULGAM: In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, Police in Kulgam seized 03 vehicles used in illegal extraction & transportation of minerals. The vehicles include 02 Tractors and a JCB machine have been seized from the Nallah Vaishow and arrests 03 persons identified as Umer Amin Padder resident of Okey, Ghulam Hassan Ahangar resident of Bhan and Fayaz Ismail Dar resident of HM Gori.
Accordingly, cases under relevant section of law have been registered and investigation has been initiated. These actions, underscore the commitment of J&K Police to curb illegal mining and preserve environmental integrity. Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding illegal mining activities in their neighbourhood. J&K Police assures strict action against the violators as per law.
