RAMBAN: Continuing the celebration of Sewa Parv-2025 under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Alyas Khan, the line departments and institutions today organized a series of activities across Ramban District, focusing on environment protection, cleanliness, sustainable development and social and health awareness.
The Social Forestry Department carried out a plantation drive along with a cleanliness and plastic-free campaign at Eidgah Khairkoot and Sangaldan. The initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation and community participation, with locals and officials pledging to work collectively for a greener, cleaner Ramban.
The Animal Husbandry Department Ramban organised an awareness programme at Gool to inform the public about the departmental schemes and benefits, encouraging greater community participation and awareness.
Similarly, the Sheep Husbandry Department conducted activities at Chachwah and Sangaldan, including cleanliness drives, breeder interaction sessions and awareness campaigns. The initiative highlighted the importance of hygiene, strengthened breederâdepartment linkages and spread awareness about opportunities available under departmental schemes.
In Rajgarh Forest Block, the Forest staff launched a plastic-free cleanliness drive in the Halla forest area. The initiative was aimed at spreading environmental awareness and sensitizing the community towards adopting a plastic-free lifestyle to protect natural resources.
The Health Department, under the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, organized two specialized health camps at PHC Ramsoo and PHC Dedah. Additionally, three more health camps were held at AAM SC Gamsuli, AAM SC Palli, and AAM SC Sawni, focusing on healthcare services and awareness among women and children.
The fortnight-long Sewa Parv-2025 activities continue to inspire collective action for social welfare, environmental sustainability and community well-being across Ramban district.
