JAMMU: A district-level Atal Pension Yojana (APY) Outreach Programme will be held at Country Inn, Jammu, on 10 July 2026 from 10 am to 2 pm, under the guidance of the J&K UT Level Bankers' Committee (UTLBC).
The programme is being organised by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) in coordination with SLBC and Lead District Manager (LDM) SBI Jammu.
The programme will involve senior officials from PFRDA, UTLBC, banks, government departments, financial institutions, Business Correspondents and other stakeholders. It aims to expand APY awareness and coverage, especially among the unorganised sector, Lead District Manager Jammu Ajay Thappa informed.
Sessions will include inaugural addresses, presentations on APY benefits, sharing of best practices, a question-and-answer segment and felicitation of top performers. The LDM's office has coordinated closely with participating banks and financial institutions to ensure wide representation at the outreach event.
APY provides a guaranteed monthly pension after 60 years of age, promoting systematic savings and social protection. Stakeholders have been urged to actively participate and intensify campaigns to maximise enrolment, strengthening financial inclusion and pension coverage across the district.
