• Discusses strengthening youth engagement in J&K

SRINAGAR: Nitin Hangloo, Director, Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Jammu & Kashmir, called on Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, IAS, at the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, and held a discussion on strengthening youth engagement and expanding the outreach of the MY Bharat Portal across the Union Territory.

During the interaction, the Director shared an overview of the vision, objectives and ongoing initiatives of MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. The discussion focused on promoting greater youth participation through the MY Bharat Portal (mybharat.gov.in), which provides opportunities in volunteering, experiential learning, internships, leadership development and skill enhancement.

The meeting also explored ways to encourage wider awareness and participation among the youth of Jammu & Kashmir, with emphasis on fostering meaningful engagement through government-supported programmes and initiatives.

Both sides acknowledged the importance of empowering young people by connecting them with structured opportunities that contribute to their personal growth, community development and nation-building. The deliberations were aligned with the broader vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, with a focus on creating an enabling ecosystem for youth participation.

Among those present was Sushil Singh Charak, State Resource Person, MY Bharat, Jammu & Kashmir, who participated in the discussion and reiterated his commitment to supporting youth-centric initiatives and facilitating greater outreach of the MY Bharat platform across the Union Territory.
