RAJOURI: The District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC) today organised a mega job fair at PWD Dak Bungalow, Rajouri, providing a platform for unemployed youth to explore employment opportunities in the private sector. The event was presided over by MLA Thanamandi Muzaffar Iqbal Khan.

The District Employment Officer briefed the gathering on objectives of the mega job fair and the Mission YUVA initiative, highlighting employment and self-employment opportunities being facilitated through the DECC.

MLA Muzaffar Iqbal Khan encouraged unemployed youth to make full use of such initiatives and strive to become job creators rather than job seekers, saying Mission YUVA and similar programmes aim to empower young people through skill development, entrepreneurship and enhanced access to livelihood opportunities.

More than 20 private companies and recruiting agencies set up recruitment stalls, interacting with aspiring candidates and offering opportunities across different sectors. Over 500 unemployed candidates participated, with a large number submitting resumes and completing registration.
