UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today chaired a review meeting to assess functioning of the ICDS Department in the district. The meeting was attended by Programme Officer Poshan Subash Dogra, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, all CDPOs and other officers concerned.
At the outset, Programme Officer Poshan gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the status and functioning of Anganwadi Centres across the district, highlighting their performance and key developmental initiatives.
The DC also reviewed Aadhaar enrolment status under PMMVY, infrastructure available at Anganwadi Centres and achievements made under the developmental deliverables of Mission Poshan.
The DC directed all CDPOs and supervisors to undertake regular visits to Anganwadi Centres to monitor functioning and ensure effective delivery of quality services. CDPOs were also instructed to conduct regular inspections of Anganwadi Centres and organise awareness camps in their areas to increase public awareness and ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes.
PO Poshan was further directed to prepare a comprehensive list of all Anganwadi Centres in the district and submit a detailed report for effective monitoring and future planning.
