REASI: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek today chaired a meeting to review implementation and progress of the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana (PM-SYM) in the district.
The meeting reviewed registration status under the scheme and discussed potential enrolment of eligible beneficiaries including MGNREGA workers, Self Help Group members, Anganwadi and ASHA workers, construction workers, street vendors, Mid-Day Meal workers and other unorganised sector workers.
The DC took a department-wise review of registrations under PM-SYM and directed officers to intensify awareness campaigns and field-level outreach activities to maximise registrations, so that the benefits of the scheme reach every eligible worker in the district.
The DC directed the ARTO to organise awareness-cum-registration camps during vehicle fitness inspection drives, and instructed the ALC to ensure weekly monitoring of registration progress by collecting and reviewing department-wise data on a regular basis. Among those present were ADDC Krishan Lal, PO ICDS, CPO, ACD, CAO and other officers concerned.
