KULGAM: To apprise the students about the examination cum counselling schedule for admission to various professional courses in UT of J&K for the session 2025-26, the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday organised an awareness camp at Government Higher Secondary School, D.H Pora Kulgam.

The camp was organised in collaboration with District Administration Kulgam. Speaking on the occasion, Dr.Bashir Ahmad Lone, Member J&K BOPEE informed the students of 10th class and 12th class  about the professional courses for which BOPEE conducts examination, counselling and allotment of seats and colleges.  The details of number of courses and number of seats available was given to the participants. 

The objective of this awareness camp was also to address the issue of low admissions in some professional courses during the year 2024- 25. Pamphlets indicating the details of professional courses eligibility criteria, and admission processes and tentative schedule of Examinations and counselling were distributed among the students which was followed by an interactive and question answer session

 Chief Education Officer Kulgam and Principal HSS DH Pora also spoke on the occasion and impressed upon the students to apply for the courses of their choice for session 2025-26  The camp highlighted the advantages of studying in local colleges, including lower fees, familiar environment, and better job opportunities. It also emphasized the importance of filling up vacant seats to avoid wastage of resources 

Two more camps are scheduled to be organised in the district in the coming days, to amplify the awareness among aspiring students in order to ensure that maximum number of students benefit from these initiatives.
