KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the progress of PWD (R&B) and PMGSY road projects and issues related to permanent restoration of damaged roads. The meeting also took stock of the status of forest clearance cases uploaded on the PARIVESH Portal, including the stage at which each case is pending.

The concerned officers apprised the Deputy Commissioner of the current status of the road projects, particularly those awaiting forest clearance and cases already under process at different stages on the PARIVESH Portal. The road projects reviewed included Shirshi-Kiyar, Yourdu Qaderna-Hamdandoo, Mhow-Pallai, Batwari-Ulligarh, Afani-Jar, Nowapachi-Hanzal to Deharna, Dhanrashi to Tender, besides other roads requiring forest-related clearances.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to expedite the uploading and processing of pending forest clearance cases on the PARIVESH Portal and ensure timely follow-up for obtaining the requisite approvals. He stressed upon the concerned officers to maintain close coordination with the Forest Department and other stakeholders to resolve procedural issues promptly to avoid delays in the implementation of road projects.
