UDHAMPUR: An impressive event was organized today by the District Administration Udhampur in connection with the   e-distribution of property cards by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the SVAMITVA scheme. Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai, presided over the local event held in Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, and distributed property cards among the farmers.

A total of 901 property cards were distributed across the district under the SVAMITVA scheme. Similar events were also organized at the Sub-Divisional and Tehsil levels, where a large number of people, including farmers, actively participated.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai said that the SVAMITVA scheme launched by the Government of India, aims to provide "Record of rights" to village household owners through the issuance of legal ownership cards. She emphasized the scheme’s significance. The DC further noted that the SVAMITVA scheme is instrumental in bringing financial stability to rural citizens by enabling them to use their property as a financial asset for securing loans and accessing other financial benefits.
