The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

BANDIPORA: As part of the ongoing Mass Parent–Teacher Meeting (PTM) initiative, a programme was organised today at Cluster Government Higher Secondary School Mantrigam.  The event witnessed a large gathering of parents, teachers, students, School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) members, and other dignitaries, making it a landmark community-school interaction in the district.

Shabir Ahmad Wani, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Chief Education Officer Bandipora Altaf Hussain Tara, G.H. Reshi (OSD to Director School Education Kashmir),  Mohammad Rafiq Parray (Ex-Deputy CEO Bandipora), and Zonal Education Officer Quilmuqam attended as Guests of Honour.

The dignitaries were warmly received by Masood Ul Hassan Reshi, Principal of the host institution, along with staff members. Highlight of the programme was the installation of thematic stalls, attracting keen interest from guests and parents alike.  During the meeting, open discussions allowed stakeholders to address issues constructively, strengthening the spirit of collaboration central to the Mass PTM initiative.

Speaking on the occasion, officials commended the institution for integrating vocational skills, scientific innovation, and cultural development into its academic framework, aligning with the vision of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for holistic student growth. The department applauded the active participation of the Mantrigam cluster and reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining such interactive platforms across the Valley to bridge gaps, build trust, and enhance the overall learning environment.
