JAMMU: J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma chaired a meeting of the BJP Mahila Morcha at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, to review the organizational activities of the Morcha and chalk out its future programmes aimed at strengthening the party's outreach among women across Jammu & Kashmir.
J&K BJP General Secretary Sanjita Dogra, BJP Secretary Reema Padha, BJP Mahila Morcha President Adv. Neha Mahajan, along with office bearers and senior members of the Mahila Morcha participated in the meeting.
Sat Sharma, addressing the meeting, said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, women have emerged as equal partners in India's development journey. He said that the Modi government has transformed the lives of crores of women through historic welfare initiatives such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Ujjwala Yojana, PM Awas Yojana Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Poshan Abhiyaan, Matru Vandana Yojana, Lakhpati Didi initiative, Self Help Group empowerment programmes, and the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, ensuring dignity, and financial independence.
Sat Sharma asked the Mahila Morcha to ensure that every eligible woman benefits from the welfare initiatives of the Modi government. He called upon the Morcha to ensure maximum participation of women in every organizational programme, stating that a stronger Mahila Morcha would further strengthen the BJP at every booth and every constituency.
Launching a sharp attack on the National Conference government, Sat Sharma said that instead of fulfilling the promises made in its election manifesto, the NC leadership has resorted to diversionary politics and misinformation campaigns to escape public scrutiny over its failures.
Sanjita Dogra stressed that women workers are the backbone of the BJP's organizational strength and asked the Mahila Morcha to intensify its outreach by highlighting the achievements of the Modi government at the grassroots. She said every worker should become an effective ambassador of the government's welfare initiatives.
Reema Padha asked Mahila Morcha activists to identify beneficiaries of central schemes, address their concerns and ensure wider public participation in the party's programmes through sustained social engagement.
Adv. Neha Mahajan assured the party leadership that the Mahila Morcha would further expand its organizational network and launch an extensive campaign to take the Modi government's women-centric schemes to every village and ward. She said the Morcha would actively involve more women in organizational programmes while exposing the failures and misleading propaganda of the National Conference government through continuous public outreach.
