BARAMULLA: As part of its sustained campaign against narcotics under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, J&K Police in Baramulla conducted a wild cannabis (bhang) destruction drives along the roadside at Village Dazna Lachipora & Village Nawarunda.
At Village Dazna Lachipora, naturally grown wild cannabis plants were identified and destroyed on the spot to prevent their misuse for illicit purposes. The drive was carried out successfully as part of the district police's continuous efforts to curb the availability of narcotic substances and promote a drug-free society.
Moreover, at Nawarunda Roadside, all identified wild cannabis plants growing along the roadside were uprooted and destroyed on the spot to eliminate the possibility of their misuse for illicit purposes. The proactive action forms part of Baramulla Police's sustained strategy to curb the availability of narcotic substances at their source and safeguard the community from the harmful effects of drug abuse.
Police remains committed to taking strict action against drug-related activities and appeals to the public to cooperate by sharing information about the cultivation, trafficking, or abuse of narcotic substances.
