KATRA: Two NCC cadets from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Cadet Madhav and Cadet Shivan, successfully participated in the Basic Leadership Camp (BLC) held at Zorawar Training Academy (ZTA), Udhampur. The camp was conducted under the aegis of 10 J&K Battalion NCC and brought together NCC cadets from across the Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh Directorate.
The primary objective of the camp was to inculcate essential leadership qualities, promote camaraderie, and enhance the overall personality and confidence of the participating cadets. Throughout the camp, senior NCC officers and distinguished guest speakers delivered insightful lectures on the core attributes of effective leadership, emphasizing integrity, decision-making, initiative, responsibility, and ethical conduct.
As part of the training, the cadets analyzed real-life military and civilian case studies to gain practical insights into leadership, crisis management, and strategic decision-making. They also actively participated in extempore speaking sessions designed to improve confidence, public speaking skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with minimal preparation.A major highlight of the camp was the selection process for the Advance Leadership Camp (ALC). Demonstrating exceptional leadership potential and commendable performance throughout the camp, both Cadet Madhav and Cadet Shivan were successfully selected for the prestigious Advance Leadership Camp.
