The high-level inspection covered multiple facilities including the One Stop Centre (OSC) for Women, Child Care Institution (Parisha), District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), District Child Protection Unit, and the Juvenile Justice Board.
During her visit to the Shakti Sadan building, Deputy Commissioner had a brief discussion on Detailed Project Report with District Social welfare officer for comprehensive renovation, aimed at creating a more conducive environment for service delivery. Deputy Commissioner emphasised that These institutions form the backbone of our social safety net and Our primary duty is ensuring that victims of violence receive prompt assistance with dignity and compassion. Every case must be addressed with sensitivity and resolved within strict timelines.
DC conducted a thorough examination of living conditions and facilities at the Parisha Home for girls. She emphasized that such shelters must provide not just basic amenities but a nurturing environment where children can thrive despite challenging circumstances. The administration's focused approach reflects its dedication to implementing welfare schemes effectively and ensuring that benefits reach those who need them most.
