- JKAP leader from Kupwara, Choudhary Mushtaq Ahmed Bajard joins BJP
JAMMU: Choudhary Mushtaq Ahmed Bajard, senior Gujjar Leader of Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) hailing from Kupwara (Kashmir) joined Bharatiya Janata Party at Party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar Jammu. Sat Sharma CA, President, J&K BJP welcomed the new entrant with his supporters. Former Minister Priya Sethi, ST Morcha President Choudhary Roshan Hussain and Morcha Vice President Choudhary Fareed Bajard were also present on the occasion.
Welcoming the new entrant on the occasion, Sat Sharma appreciated the decision of Choudhary Mushtaq Ahmed to join BJP to serve the society and nation in a selfless manner. He said that the prominent persons from various political and social organizations across the regional and religious lines are today supporting the ideology and the policies of BJP. He said that PM Modi has erected a new political structure in the nation, prioritizing the ‘nation first policy’, which yearns to serve the society and strengthen the nation instead of building fortunes for themselves only.
Today, with every passing day, the organization has been strengthening its roots further into the society not only in Jammu but also in Kashmir and he dedicated this achievement to the dedicated efforts of selfless party activists. He said that every activist of Bharatiya Janata Party represents an institution in him/herself and stands tall on the mark of selfless service in society.
Priya Sethi, while welcoming the new entrant expressed hope that he will work dedicatedly to serve the society in accordance with the party principles. She assured him that he will get the support of the party in his efforts to serve the society. Choudhary Roshan Hussain said that the Modi government has done unparalleled work for the empowerment of the needy communities. He said that due recognition to the community under the Modi government is engaging the Gujjar leaders with BJP.
Choudhary Mushtaq Ahmed Bajard admired the Modi government for its public welfare schemes. He said that the Gujjar-Bakerwal community has always been witnessed as a vote bank by the regional political parties but the needed steps for due representation, with reservations were ensured by Modi government.
