JAMMU: Educational institutions across Jammu district today continued celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the National Song 'Vande Mataram' with patriotic fervour, as part of the ongoing calendar of activities leading up to Republic Day.
GGHSS Canal Road organized Debate and Painting Competitions under the guidance of Principal Aneeta Koul. Students participated enthusiastically, presenting insightful opinions on the historical and cultural significance of Vande Mataram. Participants beautifully portrayed themes of India's freedom struggle, unity in diversity and patriotic spirit through their creative expressions.
Army Public School Ratnuchak demonstrated exceptional participation with 106 essays and 539 selfies uploaded, saluting the spirit of the National Song. Government Girls High School Gandhinagar presented a stirring rendition of Vande Mataram during morning assembly under the supervision of Headmistress Anjamin Jabeen, followed by a documentary screening. The GGHS Rangpur Maulanian witnessed participation from 75 students and 17 staff members in a collective rendition of the National Song.
GGHSS Shastrinagar observed Vande Mataram week with a plantation drive led by Principal Musaarat Jabeen, combining environmental consciousness with patriotic celebration.
Several institutions including GGHSS Miran Sahib, GHS Arnia, GPS Chak Shera, High School Kotmaira, MS Rattian, GHS Deeli and GHS Bhatyati organized documentary screenings highlighting the evolution and historical significance of Vande Mataram. GHSS Jhajjar Kotli witnessed participation from 18 staff members in selfie activities commemorating the occasion.
The commemorative activities extended to BDO Office, Block Marh, demonstrating wide-reaching impact across administrative and educational institutions. These activities were designed to instill patriotic values, deepen understanding of India's freedom struggle and strengthen national consciousness. The celebrations will culminate on Republic Day, reinforcing the commitment toward holistic education and nation-building.
