• BJP chalks out extensive mass outreach roadmap for Union budget 2026

JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu and Kashmir convened a strategic meeting at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, to chalk out an extensive political and mass outreach roadmap centred around the Union Budget 2026, presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi.

The meeting was presided over by BJP J&K General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul and witnessed the participation of senior leaders, state office bearers, morcha heads, cell convenors, and key organizational functionaries. BJP J&K General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra and Gopal Mahajan, along with other senior leaders, actively contributed to the discussions.

Addressing the meeting, Ashok Koul underlined that the Union Budget 2026 clearly demonstrates the Narendra Modi government’s unwavering resolve to accelerate India’s growth journey while ensuring that development reaches every section of society. He described the Budget as a visionary roadmap that strengthens economic resilience, promotes inclusive growth, and reinforces the government’s commitment to transparency and good governance.

Ashok Koul emphasized that the Budget, presented on February 1, 2026, has laid special focus on infrastructure development, social security, employment generation, and empowerment of the poor, youth, farmers, and women. He called upon party leaders and activists to share reports of live Budget-viewing programmes organized across districts and asked them to equip themselves with factual clarity to effectively counter misleading narratives. He informed that BJP is conducting a series of public engagement programmes under the banner of “Budget Par Charcha” across Jammu and Kashmir from February 2 to February 15, 2026.

“This Union Budget is a clear proof that the Modi government stands firmly with the people and works for inclusive prosperity, not political appeasement. It strengthens the foundation of a developed India while directly empowering the last person in the queue,” said Ashok Koul.

Ashok Koul stressed that morchas and cells must act as the frontline ambassadors of the Budget by directly engaging with beneficiaries and common citizens. He directed leaders to proactively disseminate Budget highlights through press briefings, public meetings, and door-to-door interactions, while also instructing media and social media teams to ensure sustained and impactful outreach.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjita Dogra stated that the Union Budget reflects the Modi government’s sensitivity towards grassroots aspirations and said that special emphasis on social welfare and economic empowerment will significantly benefit Jammu and Kashmir. Gopal Mahajan added that the Budget has opened new avenues for growth and self-reliance and urged party cadres to take its positive message to every household.
