JAMMU: Pawan Sharma, Senior BJP Leader and State Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir, has wholeheartedly welcomed the Union Budget 2026–27 presented by Hon’ble Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, terming it a visionary, inclusive, and growth-oriented budget that strengthens the resolve of building a Viksit Bharat while keeping the interests of the poor, youth, farmers, women, and middle class at its core.

Pawan Sharma stated that the budget reflects the strong and decisive leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the BJP-led Government at the Centre, which continues to focus on economic stability, infrastructure development, employment generation, social welfare, and self-reliance.

He said that special emphasis on MSMEs, startups, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship will provide a major boost to job creation and innovation, particularly benefiting the youth. “Enhanced credit support, policy reforms, and ease of doing business measures will empower small entrepreneurs and strengthen the backbone of India’s economy,” Sharma said.

Welcoming the continued focus on infrastructure development, Pawan Sharma said that increased allocations for roads, railways, connectivity, housing, and urban development will accelerate economic growth and create large-scale employment. “For Jammu and Kashmir, infrastructure-led growth is the key to development, connectivity, tourism promotion, and investment attraction,” he added.

He further lauded the budget’s strong commitment towards farmers and rural development, stating that provisions for agriculture, allied sectors, irrigation, and farmer welfare will enhance income security and promote sustainable rural livelihoods. “This budget strengthens the vision of empowering annadatas and ensuring prosperity in villages,” Sharma remarked.

Highlighting the focus on social welfare, Pawan Sharma said that continued support for food security, health, education, and women-centric schemes reflects the government’s sensitivity towards the underprivileged sections. “The budget balances growth with compassion, ensuring that no section of society is left behind,” he said.

Pawan Sharma also welcomed measures aimed at fiscal discipline, economic reforms, digital governance, and transparency, stating that these steps will further strengthen investor confidence and India’s global economic standing.

“The Union Budget 2026–27 is not just a financial document; it is a roadmap for India’s future. It reinforces confidence, encourages enterprise, empowers citizens, and lays a strong foundation for inclusive and sustainable development,” Pawan Sharma asserted.

He added that the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir will actively work to spread awareness about the budget’s benefits and ensure that its provisions reach the grassroots level for the welfare of the common people.
