JAMMU: Director Social Welfare Department Jammu, Ranjeet Singh today visited various institutions functioning under the Social Welfare Department in district Samba to review facilities, service delivery and overall functioning.
During the visit, the Director inspected Parisha CCI Home for Women, Palash CCI for Boys and Muskan Foundation Senior Citizens Home. The Director interacted with the inmates, staff members and management of the institutions and took stock of living conditions, nutrition, healthcare, education, recreation facilities and safety arrangements.
The Director emphasized the importance of providing a safe, caring and dignified environment for women, children and senior citizens residing in these institutions. Directions were issued to the concerned authorities to ensure strict adherence to prescribed guidelines, timely redressal of issues and continuous improvement in the quality of services being provided.
The management of the institutions apprised the Director about ongoing activities, challenges faced and requirements for further strengthening of facilities. The Director assured all possible support from the department for the welfare and wellbeing of the beneficiaries.
The visit reflects the commitment of the Social Welfare Department towards strengthening institutional care and ensuring the holistic development and protection of vulnerable sections of society. The Director was accompanied by District Social Welfare Officer Samba, Mohd.Nawaz and TSWO's.
