PUNE: The Indian Institute of Management Jammu inaugurated a two-day on-site executive training programme on Strategic Resilience at the HPCL Management Development Institute (HPMDI), Pune, on 02nd February 2026. The two-day programme from 02nd Feb to 3rd Feb 2026 is being conducted under HP NAVA, HPCL’s structured leadership, upskilling initiative aimed at preparing executives for future organizational challenges.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr. Nikhil Verma, Principal, HP Management Development Institute, Pune; Dr Baljeet Singh; Prof Rajesh Sikka; Dr Kamakshi Sharma from IIM Jammu; Mr Arvind Chavare; Sr. Manager Administration, and Mr. Prabhat, HP Management Development Institute, Punealong with all programme participants and officials from HPMDI Pune.
The programme has brought together 36 executives of HPCL from diverse functional domains, representing a wide spectrum of professional experience. The age profile of participants ranges from 37 to 50 years, reflecting a mature and experienced cohort of mid-career professionals.
During the inaugural session, Mr. Nikhil Verma, Principal, HP Management Development Institute, Pune, commenced the programme with the HP National Anthem and welcomed the participants. He introduced the faculty team from IIM Jammu and outlined the vision and objectives of the HP NAVA initiative, highlighting its focus on continuous capability enhancement and future readiness of HPCL’s leadership. He also shared an overview of the participant cohort and explained the broader framework under which the two-day program on strategic resilience is being conducted.
The academic delivery of the programme is being led by the faculty team from IIM Jammu, comprising Dr. Baljeet Singh, Prof. Rajesh Sikka, and Dr Kamakshi Sharma. During the inaugural interaction, the faculty team briefed the participants on IIM Jammu’s executive education ecosystem, the programme design, and the expected learning outcomes.
The programme focuses on three key dimensions, strategic thinking,Organization Design, and behavioral management and aims to equip participants with practical frameworks, strategic tools, and leadership perspectives essential for navigating uncertainty and building organizational resilience.
Following the inaugural ceremony, the programme proceeded with its academic sessions as per the scheduled curriculum. The initiative reflects IIM Jammu’s continued engagement with leading public sector organizations in delivering customized, high-impact executive education programmes that support leadership development and organizational transformation. The onsite training program is being coordinated by IIM Jammu Executive Education and Consultancy.
