UDHAMPUR: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute Udhampur today commenced the 5th batch of the management development programme under the RAMP scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India here at its District Centre. The programme was inaugurated by Additional District Development Commissioner, Jugal Kumar Anand as the chief guest.

The inaugural function was also attended by the Deputy Director Employment, Mohinder Kumar Sharma along with officials from JKEDI and the Employment Department. The chief guest interacted with the participants of an ongoing Hybrid mode capacity building programme under Mission YUVA. The ADDC shared valuable insights on scaling up business ventures and highlighted the immense opportunities available for MSMEs and startups under the J&K Startup Policy. He encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to effectively utilize various government support mechanisms to ensure sustainable and inclusive business growth.

On the very first day of the programme, 20 candidates registered reflecting strong enthusiasm and growing entrepreneurial interest among local youth, MSMEs and aspiring business owners in the district. The one-week-long management development programme aims to strengthen managerial capabilities and promote entrepreneurship in the region.
