PADDER: Amid the on-going Machail Yatra , five Day Multimedia Exhibition & outreach Programme on Flagship Schemes at Padder concludes today on Wednesday. Sh. M.L Manhas, ex- PRI member of Gulabgarh, presided over the concluding function of the 5- Day Multimedia Exhibition organized at Padder today by Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Field office Doda.
Sh. Manhas appreciated CBC in generating awareness about the schemes of government through these outreach programmes and urged to organise more such events in other rural areas of Padder. Speakers from forest department, Sh. Mubashir Lateef Khateeb and Sh. Shakir Iqbal spoke on the Mission LiFE. They jointly urged all that we must strive to adopt the model of sustainable development to protect the environment.
Both stressed upon one and all for judicial use of Natural resources, switch off the appliances when not in use and plant more trees. The concluding day of the outreach program was dedicated for awareness about the various Centrally Sponsored Schemes of Forest department and Education department. Sh. Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, CBC Udhampur in his welcome cum introductory address briefed the audience about the functions and mandate of CBC. He also presented an overview of New Criminal Laws 2023 which came into force from 1st July, 2024.
Sh. Narbeen Singh, from Govt. Higher Secondary School, Atholi, delivered expert lecture on Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat ( EBSB). Sh. Singh said, EBSB launched in 2015 fosters National Unity in diversity, Strengthen & showcases the rich cultural heritage, Customs & traditions, Art, Language and appeals for oneness. Sh.Gurnam Singh, CBC Udhampur compared the whole event. He also delivered address on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day and said that this day is observed to remind the sacrifices during the Partition.
Sh. Amjad Hussain Malik, Chief Agriculture Officer, Kishtwar presided over the proceedings during the 4th day of the exhibition on Tuesday. Besides students, teachers, locals, officials of various Department, attended, the concluding day of the event. Sh. Vikram Uppal, I/c CBC Doda presented vote of thanks. M/s Nagani Troupe performed the cultural programmes with focus on local folk. Felicitations were done at the end.
