JAMMU: Police Hospital Jammu today celebrated 78th Independence Day today in the premises of Police Hospital Jammu with great patriotic fervor and zeal. The Medical Superintendent Police Hospital Jammu Dr. Meenakshi Kotwal accompanied by all Doctors,Para-Medical and other staff of this hospital, hoisted the National Flag followed by the National Anthem. A pledge was also taken to work for the overall growth and development of our nation.
For conducting the event successfully, 08 different teams headed by doctors and assisted by other staff members of this hospital under the overall supervision of Dr. Meenakshi Kotwal were constituted. All the teams have given their best in terms decoration/lighting arrangements, preparation of Rangoli, cultural programme, refreshment arrangements, anchoring, drafting of pledge, maintaining discipline and sanitation arrangements.
On this occasion a beautiful cultural programme was presented in the recreation hall of District Police Lines, Jammu which was beautifully hosted by Dr. Sanjay Sharma and Dr. Priyanka Sambyal. During the said cultural programme various patriotic songs were sung by doctors and other staff both in individual as well as group formations which really charged the emotions of the entire audience and brought them on the same rhythmic nodes. In additions to this Punjabi and Folk dances were are also present by the doctors and other staff of the Hospital.
Thereafter, Dr Meenakshi Kotwal Medical Superintendent in her address, applauded the excellence exhibited by the doctors and other staff for organizing such a wonderful cultural programme to make the event joyous and colourful. At the same time, it was emphasized upon all the participants to play an important role by way of exhibiting dedication, devotion and honesty of highest order towards nation building so that we all together lead our country to highest level of prosperity.
While concluding the function, a vote of thanks was presented by Dr.Ajay Krishan Pandita who expressed gratitude towards CO IRP 18th Bn, Dy.SP DAR DPL Jammu for providing all logistic support for conducting the said event as well as doctors, paramedical and other staff of Police Hospital Jammu and orchestra team members of DPL Jammu for making the programme a grand success.
