VIJAYPUR (SAMBA): Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh along with the other leaders and prominent people today hoisted the National Flag to mark the celebration of 78th Independence Day here at Vijaypur in Samba District. A simple and impressive function was organized at Vijaypur in which the flag was hoisted by the Former Minister S. Manjit Singh.
Amid the enthusiasm of nationalism, the national anthem was also sung, and the sweets were also distributed among the participants. On this occasion, S. Manjit Singh also addressed the people while asking them to remember the sacrifices made by the defence forces, and other security forces including J&K Police by fighting against the enemies of the country.
“These security forces have defended our borders, and fought the enemies within and on the borders to keep the citizens of the country safe,” he said, recalling the supreme sacrifices made by the Army soldiers, paramilitary and J&K Police while fighting against the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.
