KATRA: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University celebrated 78th Independence Day with national fervour and exemplary enthusiasm. On the occasion, Prof. Pragati Kumar, the Vice Chancellor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, unfurled the tricolour flag. In a compelling address, he highlighted India’s journey towards becoming a self-sufficient and self-reliant nation despite challenges that it encountered such as partition and famine. It has achieved many laurels, moving ahead leaps and bounds under the visionary leadership of our Prime Minister.
All Indians must take pride in the fact that the world is looking towards India with hope amidst global insecurities. The address was followed by refreshments to commemorate the event. Among the dignitaries present included Shri Ajay Kumar Sharma (JKAS), Registrar, SMVDU, Shri Neeraj Gupta (JKAS), Finance Officer, SMVDU, Prof. Raghvendra Mishra, Dean, Student Welfare, Prof. Balbir Singh, Dean of Academic Affairs, Prof. Ashutosh Vashishth, Dean, Faculty of Management, Prof. K.R.
