SHOPIAN: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta today conducted an extensive visit to the Industrial Estate Trenz to take stock of the ongoing works. During the inspection, DC took stock of the progress of a diverse set of infrastructural works including development of roads, construction of drainage systems, power and water supply facilities besides other amenities.
On the occasion, Gupta emphasized that the development of Industrial Estate Trenz is a key step towards boosting local entrepreneurship & economic activities, attracting investment and generating employment opportunities for youth of the district.
DC issued directions to the executing agency to accelerate the pace of work and ensure quality standards are strictly maintained. He particularly stressed that all works should be completed within the stipulated timelines, keeping in view the approaching winter season which hampers construction activity.
This ambitious Industrial Development Project of the Industries Department, once complete, will provide a robust platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), thereby giving a fillip to the local economy. ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; GM DIC, Shurjil Naik and other concerned were present during the inspection.
