JAMMU: A Sanitation Drive was today conducted at Government Polytechnic Jammu as part of the Sewa Pakhwada initiative. The Faculty members, non-teaching staff, NSS volunteers and a large number of students enthusiastically participated in the drive. The Key activities included cleaning of classrooms, laboratories, corridors and common areas, removal of waste materials and plastic from the campus, plantation and maintenance of greenery around the institute, the display of cleanliness awareness posters and slogans, sensitization sessions on hygiene and environmental responsibility.
Principal Er. Talet Mahmood emphasized the importance of individual contribution towards a cleaner and healthier India. The event concluded with a pledge by all attendees to maintain cleanliness not only within the campus but also in their surroundings. The drive fostered a sense of community engagement and environmental consciousness among students, reinforcing the spirit of service and collective responsibility.
