AWANTIPORA: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) organised a Cleanliness, Beautification and Plantation Drive under Sewa Parv today. The programme was coordinated by the Office of the Dean of Students in collaboration with the Department of Environment, Sustainability and Climatic Change.

The drive saw active participation of students, faculty, and staff, who contributed to promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices on campus. Activities included cleanliness campaigns, plantation of saplings, and beautification of designated areas, aimed at fostering a cleaner, greener, and more vibrant environment.

On the occasion, Dr. Mir Hashim Rasool, I/C Dean of Students, highlighted the importance of such initiatives in cultivating social and environmental responsibility within the community. He emphasised that collective action and shared commitment are vital for building sustainable societies.
