HANDWARA: In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, J&K Police have intensified efforts to combat illegal mining activities in the Police district Handwara and has seized (04) Tractors involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals.
Police teams of Police Post Langat, Police Post Chogul and Police post zachaldara headed by supervisory officers seized (04 Tractors) involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals. Subsequently, proceedings under the provisions of the (MMDR Act) have been initiated, and further investigation is in progress.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding illegal mining activities in their neighbourhood. Police assures strict action against the violators as per law.
