UDHAMPUR: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv, the Divisional Office of J&K Pollution Control Committee, Udhampur, organized an awareness programme on bio-medical waste management cum cleanliness drive at Government Medical College, Associated Hospital, Udhampur. The event was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai, witnessing enthusiastic participation from the Medical Superintendent, doctors and paramedical staff.
They collectively pledged to adopt scientific handling and safe disposal of bio-medical waste. A cleanliness drive was also carried out in and around the hospital premises, reinforcing the importance of hygiene in healthcare institutions. They stressed the need for responsible waste management as a vital step towards protecting the environment and ensuring public health. The initiative held under Sewa Parv highlighted the shared commitment of healthcare professionals and authorities towards a cleaner and healthier society.
