KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma, who is also Chairman of the District AYUSH Society (DAS), today presided over a meeting to review its functioning.

CEO DAS and District Nodal Officer AYUSH Dr Vikram Singh Jamwal gave a presentation on infrastructure and working of the AYUSH Department in the district, and briefed the meeting on the role of AYUSH staff in promoting preventive healthcare, boosting immunity and managing lifestyle-related diseases.

The District AYUSH Department raised several demands and issues, on which the DC directed submission of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and gave on-the-spot directions. He also directed the District AYUSH Officer to increase OPD services in AYUSH institutions and assured all possible support in strengthening AYUSH facilities.

Among those present were CDPO Kishtwar Rahida Lone, CEO Kishtwar Sanjay Dogra, Medical Officer AAM Sangrambhatta Dr Monika Sharma, Medical Officer Dr Tariq Hussain, Assistant Director Planning RDD Kishtwar Mohd Ashraf Wani and other officers and staff concerned from the District AYUSH Department.
