JAMMU: Chairman of Samvedna Club, Keshav Chopra, successfully organized the Jammu Veteran League Edition 2 Anti-Drug Cricket Tournament at M.A Stadium under the impactful slogan “Yes to Sports, No to Drugs.” The opening ceremony was graced by Arvind Gupta as the Chief Guest, who was accompanied by Vivek Shekhar, former councillor Sanjay Kumar Baru, Prem Gupta, and Vikas Hans.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from veteran cricketers and sports lovers, highlighting the role of sports in building a healthier and drug-free society.Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta appreciated the initiative by Samvedna Club and said that such tournaments play a crucial role in channelizing the energy of youth towards positive activities.

He emphasized that sports not only promote physical fitness but also instill discipline and unity, making them a powerful tool in the fight against drug abuse.SP North Vivek Shekhar, while addressing the gathering, stated that drug abuse remains a serious challenge and collective efforts are required to tackle it. He lauded the efforts of Samvedna Club and said that engaging youth in sports is one of the most effective ways to keep them away from drugs and harmful influences.Chairman Keshav Chopra, in his address, reiterated his commitment to the cause and highlighted the vision behind organizing the tournament.
