Growing graph of BJP unnerved NC, fears electoral defeats in future polls: Balbir

JAMMU: Jammu Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party Spokesperson and former Vice Chairman Balbir Ram Rattan today said that the rising graph of the BJP has unnerved the National Conference (NC), which is now fearing electoral defeats in the upcoming polls.

Rattan said that the BJP’s pro-nation, pro-peace, pro-development and pro-people policies have left a strong and positive impact on the minds of the people across the Union Territory. He was reacting to the false and misleading statement of NC's Provincial President, wherein the ruling party leader has said that BJP is losing ground in Jammu.

Balbir Ram Rattan said that the NC leader is not aware of the ground realities and he should know that the BJP has created records in all the past elections not only in Jammu but entire UT. It is the BJP, which always improved it's tally in successive elections of the assembly, DDCs, BDCs, ULBs and took lead in vote per centage in the UT. It has only been posssible due to the fact that the people have endorsed the programmes and policjes of the BJP and the Modi government.

He said that the growing public support for the BJP has created a sense of insecurity among NC leaders, who have already assessed the likely political losses they may face. “The people of Jammu are politically aware and cannot be misled by false narratives as they themselves have seen the changes brought by the BJP’s governance and development-oriented approach,” Rattan said.

Highlighting the transformation in the region, Balbir  pointed out that Jammu, which had faced neglect and discrimination for decades, is now witnessing unprecedented development. He said several prestigious projects in healthcare, technical education, infrastructure, and connectivity have been launched and implemented in recent years. Be it road infrastructure, railway expansion, or improved air connectivity, Jammu has been brought to the centre stage of development,  he added.

He said that such statements of NC leaders reflect the frustration of a party that has lost its connect with the ground realities. Instead of misleading the public, the NC leadership should introspect and review its own governance record, he remarked.

Balbir said that the people of Jammu stands firmly with the BJP as it delivers on its commitments and the opposition’s frustration is evident in their statements. Rattan expressed confidence that the BJP will continue to strengthen its base in Jammu and Kashmir, driven by its people-centric policies and commitment to progress and prosperity for all sections of society.
