• Kesri warns agencies over profiteering, announces volunteer monitoring at distributors

BISHNAH: At a press conference held in Bishnah, Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K President Pandit Rajesh Kesri strongly condemned the widespread black-marketing of domestic LPG cylinders by certain agencies and delivery personnel, who are reportedly charging consumers exorbitant rates ranging from ₹1,100 to ₹1,300 per cylinder. This is happening despite the government’s clear statement that there is “no shortage” of LPG supply in the Union Territory. Kesri described this over-pricing not only as unethical but as a serious criminal act that exploits ordinary families and undermines public trust in essential services.

Kesri called upon government authorities to take immediate and decisive action, including registering FIRs against agencies or delivery staff found violating the government-notified rates. He emphasized that profiteering from essential commodities is unacceptable under any circumstances and constitutes a direct attack on the welfare of the people. Highlighting the party’s proactive approach, Kesri announced that Shiv Sena Hindustan volunteers will be stationed outside LPG distributors in the coming days to closely monitor sales, assist genuine consumers, and prevent any unfair practices.

Reiterating that the government has not imposed restrictions on the supply of LPG, diesel, or petrol, Kesri stressed that any overcharging is a deliberate act of profiteering. He urged distributors to ensure strict compliance among their delivery personnel, install visible boards displaying official rates, and maintain complete transparency in all transactions. He also warned that any individual found indulging in black-marketing will be personally escorted by party volunteers to the nearest police station to face legal consequences.

The press conference saw the participation of key party leaders, including Border Cell Head Sanjeev Sharma, Vice-Chairman Raj Kumar, Secretary Raj Kumar, Treasurer Praveen Gupta, Darshana Devi, Neeru Devi, Anu Devi, Youth President Ganesh Choudhary, and Manpreet Dass, demonstrating the party’s united stance against exploitation of consumers and its commitment to civic vigilance.

Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to protecting the interests of ordinary citizens, particularly vulnerable households that depend on essential supplies like LPG for their daily living. The party emphasized that it will continue to closely monitor the situation, coordinate with authorities, and take all necessary measures to ensure that consumers are not victimized by unscrupulous practices. Kesri concluded by stating that safeguarding public welfare and enforcing accountability among service providers remains a top priority for the party, and that Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K will continue to take tangible action wherever necessary to uphold justice and consumer rights.
