RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma chaired a meeting to review the progress of execution of projects approved under the District Capex Budget (DA-JGUA) in the district.
During the meeting, the DDC conducted a detailed review of ongoing works being executed by the Public Works Department across different subdivisions. Emphasizing the importance of timely delivery, he directed the concerned officers and executing agencies to ensure that all works are completed on or before March 31, 2026.
The DDC stressed the need for maintaining transparency and adhering to quality standards in execution. He instructed officers to strictly monitor works on the ground and ensure that public funds are utilized efficiently for intended purposes.
He further directed that there should be no delay in payments to contractors upon completion of works as per norms, ensuring smooth implementation and avoiding unnecessary bottlenecks.
The meeting was attended by the Superintending Engineer PWD Rajouri, Tilak Raj, Executive Engineers of PWD divisions Rajouri, Kotranka, Kalakote, Thanamandi and Nowshera, along with representatives of executing firms and contractors, who briefed the chair on the status of ongoing projects and assured timely completion within the stipulated time frame.
