BHADERWAH: A market checking drive was conducted today in Bhaderwah town under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah, Sunil Kumar Bhutyal, to ensure strict adherence to market regulations and maintain discipline among shopkeepers.

The drive witnessed active participation from Assistant Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar, Station House Officer Suresh Gautam, Tehsil Supply Officer Mehmood Mir, Naib Tehsildar along with officials from the Veterinary, Municipality, Traffic Police and other concerned departments.

During the inspection, the team thoroughly checked various shops and establishments for compliance with pricing norms, hygiene standards and other regulatory guidelines. Several violations were detected and fines amounting to Rs. 4,400 were imposed on erring shopkeepers.

Simultaneously, the Traffic Police also intensified enforcement against traffic violations. Special focus was laid on two-wheeler riders and both online and offline challans were issued to violators riding without helmets.
