SAMBA: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ayushi Sudan today chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee on Change of Land Use (CLU) under the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Agricultural Land Conversion for Non-Agricultural Purposes Act.
The Deputy Commissioner, who is the Chairperson of the Committee, instructed the officers to ensure that no fragmentation of agricultural land or illegal conversion of agricultural land for non-agricultural purposes is allowed, as it adversely affects agricultural production in the district.
The DC also directed the concerned members to ensure timely issuance of NOCs to the applicants after proper verification of documents and completion of all formalities. During the meeting, 11 cases were reviewed. The meeting was attended by officers from various departments, including Revenue, DIC, Education and other line departments.
