RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting of the District Level Cooperative Development Committee in his office chamber to discuss the modalities for effective implementation of the Cash Credit Limit (CCL) Scheme 2025 and the Cooperative Infrastructure Development Fund (CIDF) Scheme 2025 in the district.

The meeting focused on strengthening Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and enhancing cooperative infrastructure across the district. “The CCL Scheme 2025 has been introduced to strengthen PACS by improving their financial capacity and enabling them to better serve farmers and rural communities,” the Deputy Commissioner emphasized.

He stressed the need to diversify the activities of PACS and directed the concerned officers to focus on promoting food processing and food storage facilities through the cooperative sector. He also asked the department to ensure the involvement of farmers from remote areas so that the benefits of the scheme reach the grassroots level.

The DC further highlighted that the Cooperative Infrastructure Development Fund (CIDF) Scheme 2025 would play a crucial role in strengthening the infrastructure of cooperative societies in Jammu and Kashmir, thereby improving their operational efficiency and service delivery.

Officers present in the meeting shared inputs regarding the effective implementation of the schemes and discussed ways to enhance coordination among departments and financial institutions to support cooperative institutions.

Among others, the meeting was attended by ADDC Rajouri Malikzada Sheraz-ul-Haq, ACR Rajouri Mohd Jahangir Khan, ACP Auqil Naveed, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Adnan Rather, Chief Agriculture Officer Rajouri, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Rajouri, Assistant Director Fisheries Rajouri, District Development Manager NABARD Rajouri, Lead District Manager J&K Bank Rajouri and a representative of JCC Bank.
