JAMMU: Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu fort Jammu alongwith presidents of different Sabha's/ organisations/ mohalla's including Corporator of W-48 felicitated Mr Sunil Kumar for achieving Gold Medal in Kabaddi at the IFFA Games- International Sports Meet(Indo-Nepal )held from 28th to 31st Dec 2025. Another boys namely Mr Ricky, Mr Gurucharna and Mr Manu were felicitated for achieving Gold Medals in Tennis Cricket at the IFFA Games - International Sport Meet (Indo-Nepal) held at Kathmandu from 28th to 31st Dec 2025.
While speaking on this occasion Sham Lal Basson- Ex Corporator and Gen Secy of SGRDS Bahu Fort Jammu said that Sports events started from Bahu Fort Hr Sec School Ground School on 6th Dec 2025 on the eve of Mahaparinirvan Divas of Baba Saheb Dr B R Ambedkar as Kabaddi Tournament wherein 25 teams participated and selected team participated in National Kabaddi Championship 2025 at Bhopal from 17th to 19th Dec and won Gold Medal. Thereafter 4 players (One Kabaddi player and 3 Tennis Cricket players) brought laurels to Jammu and Kashmir by winning 4 Gold Medals and were felicitated today.
Sham Basson further that it is a moment of glory for Jammu. From the heart of Jammu, raised in Bahu fort, nurtured by the spirit of Kalka Colony Youth Club-Sunil kumar stands today as a symbol of dedication, discipline and determination, inspiring countless young athletes to dream big and rise higher. Another team for Box Langadi game was also selected who will participate in National Box Langadi Championship at Shirdhi in Maharashtra(India) from 16th to 18th Jan.2026.
Sh Rajeev Singh Charak President BahuFort Development Committe felicitated and congratulated the players, coach- Sunil kumar, event manager Ajay kumar and parents of players. He assured to provide every possible help to team of players of Box Langadi in the shape of uniforms. Sh Ashwani Kumar- SHO police station Bagh- E- Bahu congratulated 4 players who won Gold Medals at Kathmandu. He also appreciated the efforts of Mr Sunil Kumar -coach and event manager Mr Ajay Kumar for playing a pivotal role to prepare the youths for such events.
Sh Baldev Raj Nargotra- Chairman Bahu Fort Development Committee also blessed the young players for their spirit of playing and continuously winning matches at different levels and congratulated their parents. He also appreciated the efforts of Sham Lal Basson to organise all the events and for encouraging the players. Sh Kulbir Singh, President Dogra Sabha Gorkha Nagar Bahu fort Jammu and Sh Bahadur Lal Ex president Saryara Sabha Bahu Fort Jammu also addressed the gathering and congratulated the players, their parents, coach and event manager. Those who graced the occasion included Sh Manohar lal , Sagar Chand, Ram Lal, Rattan Lal, Om Prakash, Chela Ram Krishan Lal and others.
