JAMMU: The Central University of Jammu (CUJ) has achieved notable recognition in global and subject-specific rankings for 2026, underscoring its growing stature in higher education despite being a relatively young institution established in 2011.
According to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings -2026, Central University of Jammu is placed in the 1001–1200 band globally in the Overall category. This reflects strong performance in key areas, including: Engineering: Ranked in the 801–1000 band. Physical Sciences: Ranked in the 801–1000 band. These subject rankings highlight CU Jammu focused strengths in STEM disciplines, where research output, teaching quality, and international outlook contribute to its standing among thousands of institutions worldwide.
While National ranking, CU Jammu continues to build on achievements such as its 28th position among Central Universities in the IIRF 2025 rankings, with ongoing submissions to NIRF 2025 indicating sustained efforts toward excellence. Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Jammu, expressed pride in these accomplishments and shared an inspiring message:
